Whewww! The flu is tough…. First workout back, cutting program in half – still not 100% but want to train.
Deadlifts – 6×4 reps at 75% 1RM on 3 minutes. Load 335lbs. Then 1 set of 3reps at 450lbs with weight elevated 8 inches off floor (bar hits just south of tibial plateau). The idea behind the last set is to make the weight feel “lighter” – seems to be working – I’m less apprehensive about pulling it, I strapped up, dipped down and stood up with out needing to psych up for it. The proof will be in the pudding as the weeks progress and weight gets closer and closer to the floor.
